New York City Furniture Assembly & Interior Innovations,LLC Has Decided To Provide Services To Make Handicapped And Disabled Peoples Life A Bit Easier

Professional Furniture Assembly And Handyman Service has went the extra mile to make people with disabilities or handicaps have a life thats a bit easier than before.

New York, NY (1888PressRelease) April 04, 2008 - NYC Furniture Assembly Services Caters to the Handicapped

EZ Furniture Assembly & Interior Innovations, LLC out of New York City and it’s founder and President have decide to take their unique furniture assembly, Installation, and Handyman service one step further by offering it’s customers customized kitchens, countertops, pocket doors, shower rails and much more to help the handicapped and disabled who for the most part can live on their own but making adjustments and alterations to everything from computer desks to custom closets has made a big change in many peoples lives.

Mr. Purnell, President & Founder is always looking for ways to separate his company from the competition while bringing his customers that more personal fee. When you call their office you never get an automated machine asking you to push this or that button to reach a certain department. All calls are handled by live office staff, either an office manager, secretary or possibly Mr,. Purnell himself. He has struggled for over two years competing with bigger companies like Impact Resources and National Marketing Services, but his honest, lets see what we can do kind of attitude is beginning to catch the attention of retailers all around the city. When most office supply stores sell their furniture it takes Impact or NMS up to 4 weeks to schedule an appointment where as EZ Furniture Assembly & Interior Innovations, LLC schedules all appointments within 72 hours from the time of purchase unless the customers asks for a later date. Plus unlike his competitors he doesn’t hire just anyone over the phone or computer.

They must go through a 3 phase hiring process where they meet Mr. Purnell and his Project manager, and if all goes well they will be called back for a second interview where they will be required to assemble several pieces of equipment while the project manager observes how they handle the articles, if they know how to correctly use the tools, and if they make certain that the piece they assembled s operating correctly an make adjustments where needed. If they pass this interview they are hired on a temporary part-time basis where they work with a Project Manager or Lead for 2 weeks and at the end of the 2 weeks they are graded on everything from their appearance, punctuality, workmanship, and above all customer relations.
Winter is slow for almost everyone in any type of home improvement business, but April is when things really begin to pick up. Mr. Purnell normally goes out and estimates the larger or more complex jobs and has noticed that several of the customers that contacted us were either totally disabled or elderly an their safety was of great importance. So after Mr. Purnell had met with two wheelchair bound clients who wanted kitchen remodels he began to think of ways to make their life easier not only in the kitchen but the whole house in general. After several days of research and footwork he was ale to establish a relationship with distributors who specialize in items for handicapped people.

The companies he contacted have everything from shower rails t walk in closets where the customer could just use a bar to pull down a shelving unit that allows them to utilize space in which before was unused. On the first kitchen project he was able to modify the drawings to where the customer could wheel their wheelchair under the counter to wash their dishes, along with a cook top and stove that was wheel chair height so the customer wouldn’t be burning himself or herself when they were cooking. The wall cabinetry was lowered and installed with a pull down system+ similar to the ones in the closet that allowed the customer to use all of their cabinets and the weight from the dishes or cups who act as a counter weight and lift all the cups or dishes back up into the cabinets. One home he was able to change the swing doors into pocket doors, which are much wider door, a wheel chair and a lot easier to close and open than your regular door.

Mr. Purnell said” The possibilities are endless and it tears me apart that these people have to live like this when someone can come in and do a little bit of work at a reasonable price and make their life a whole lot easier. Give them their freedom Back!” Mr. Purnell went on to say that he and his company are supporters of many great causes but in 2008 he wants to concentrate on making the lives of the disabled a bit easier. He intends to read up on the ADA (Americans With Disabilities Act) to ensure that the landlords are doing their part for these people, as well as connecting with other organizations that can help him obtain more insight on what can be done to help these people.

If you have a loved one or a neighbor who could possibly use the Services of EZ Furniture Assembly & Interior Innovations, LLC, or have any suggestions MR. Purnell welcomes you to visit his website at www.ezfurnitureassembly.com or email him directly at contactus ( @ ) ezfurnitureassembly dot com dot He is also looking for any and all information he can obtain onobtaing a grant to assist these people because for the most part he has been paying out of pocket and am not sure how much longer he can continue to help these people dot
