August 02, 2008 - Soups Online today unveiled their website, SoupsOnline.com, a one stop shopping destination for soup lovers that will offer over 300 gourmet soup mixes from more than 40 companies.
Soups Online President Todd Westby says: “Our goal with Soups Online is to be the internet leader in the gourmet soup mix category. At launch of the site, we are offering over 250 different mixes and plan to be at 300-350 in the next month.”
Brands available on the site include Buckeye Beans, Cherchies, Desert Gardens, Frontier, Laurie’s Kitchen, Leonard Mountain, Maggie and Mary, Plentiful Pantry, Rabbit Creek, Turtle Island and many others. In additional to being able to shop by brand, customers are also able to shop by variety, ingredients, ethnicity, dietary need, serving size, seasonality and preparation complexity.
“We have worked diligently to make the site informative for our customers by including detailed descriptions of each mix that include cooking directions, needed additions, serving suggestions, ingredients and even nutrition facts,” says Westby. “Our categorization really makes it easy for customers to find what they are looking for. For instance, a chili lover would be able to look at our full selection of 40-50 different chili mixes or they can narrow their search and view just red, green or white chili mixes.”
Westby indicates that there are exciting plans in the future including soup sampler packs, soup gift baskets, soup accessories, international shipping and wholesale offerings. “We want to be the ultimate destination for soup lovers – a place where they can try new soups or stock up on their favorites.”
Though a new offering, Soups Online is a wholly owned subsidiary of Omaha, Nebraska based Month Club Store, Inc., an innovative internet company that has been in business for over three years. Month Club Store offers a service that ships unique items (mostly gourmet foods) to customers. They offer more than 40 categories including a Soup Mix of the Month Club.
