July 22, 2008 - SafeCheckIn.com has now added its coverage to Canada. With the addition of the ten Canadian providences and three territories, SafeCheckIn.com now covers the most of North America allowing our members greater flexibility in use.
SafeCheckIn.com is a service where individuals can put in specific information about themselves as well as information about any activity they are going to do. When they “check out” SafeCheckIn will monitor their status until the member “checks in” again. If the member is overdue then SafeCheckIn will attempt to contact the member to update their status.
If SafeCheckIn cannot reach the member, we then contact the people that the member has designated as emergency contacts with the local authorities being contacts of last resort. SafeCheckIn is designed for anyone who goes out hiking, running, fishing, hunting, skiing/snowboarding, takes road trips or any activity where an individual wants to make sure there is someone waiting for them to return home safely. It is that simple… tell SafeCheckIn where you are going and when you expect to come back. In the event you do not check back in and cannot be contacted; notify anyone you choose of your overdue status.
It is exciting to add the opportunity for the approximately 14 million Canadian singles to let SafeCheckIn.com watch their back when they go out alone. Canadians have a special love of the outdoors and SafeCheckIn.com is perfect for the adventurous single. Whether it is in the great outdoors, on a first date, or even just the daily run; we can protect even more singles on both sides of the border. While we encourage both men and women to utilize the service, we see this being particularly helpful to single women of all ages.
They have a greater need for personal security and backup to cell phones or GPS. SafeCheckIn.com can be just that backup. Members can be assured that if something happens, someone will be looking for them once they are overdue. How many news reports have we all heard about people being found alive after days or weeks and nobody knew they were missing? Or if someone did, did not have enough information to do an effective search? That is exactly what the service is designed for! When you go out, make sure you check out so someone is waiting for you to check in.
