New website focuses on the life and music of the 1950s
Buffalo, NY – BluesRoot Entertainment, a division of JDM Promotions, LLC, has launched a website that focuses on the life and music of the 1950s in conjunction with the music group, BluesRoot.
The site, located at www.bluesroot.net, features news highlights, photos, historical notes, links to other music history oriented websites, profiles of the great entertainers of the 1950s, opinion polls, an interactive message board and visitor forum, video performance clips and 1950s and original song clips from BluesRoot.
BluesRoot is a music trio made up of 1960s music industry veterans who grew up living the ‘50’s lifestyle and enjoying the convergence of blues, country, and rockabilly into the American art form rock and roll.
BluesRoot delivers a unique Americana sound featuring guitar and harmonica based versions of the early blues, ‘50’s rock and roll and rockabilly classics. Their material pays tribute to the mainstream great artists like Elvis, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Roy Orbison, and the blues greats who surrounded them.
The trio also performs music from their own internationally distributed CD, “Live. Real. In the moment.”
BluesRoot is comprised of two Buffalo, NY area residents, John D. Moore and Art Borgeson, and Morgantown, WV resident, Jeff Ward.
Moore is the singer/songwriter and performs on acoustic rhythm guitar and harmonica as well as singing lead. Borgeson adds Nashville, Tn inspired lead guitar lines and backing vocals. Ward adds bass and backing vocals to the mix.
“We want our music, and www.bluesroot.net to capture the feel and essence of life and the music in the 1950s. BluesRoot shows are family friendly, and more than just music,” stated Moore. He added, “We not only play the songs that memories are made of, but provide historical insight into the background of each song…whether we are paying tribute or playing our own. They are all songs with a meaning.”
BluesRoot was formed by Moore in 2005 after retiring from business. Playing music isn’t new to any of the baby boomer members of the group however. Moore sang and played with mid south bands in the ‘60s. Ward did the same, while Borgeson has been a frequent player with top name guitar legends in Nashville, Tn. Moore also owned a company that produced family oriented music concerts in conjunction with cities and professional sports teams.
