The decision was made for a total redesign and redevelopment to make the site more user-friendly and interactive, enabling clients to use the site as a reliable source of information for all their conference and events requirements.
The site offers up to date information about conferences and events at Lane End Conference Centre. You can find all the information you need for your next event; from room dimensions to sample menus, team building activities, facilities and the latest news. The team take care to ensure that the information shared is not only relevant but also useful for anyone involved in the business of booking and planning corporate events. For this reason they keep a close eye on the industry press and report on current trends and tips like how to ensure you get the best value for your money during a recession and the company policy on preventing swine flu spreading on the premises.
The site encourages its visitors to interact by monthly voting topics; this month’s for example is ‘when booking a conference or event, what do you think is the most important factor - location, price, facilities or service?’ When the visitor votes they are given the results of all the previous votes as well. Clients are also encouraged to make online enquiries by hitting the big blue booking button which is visible on the left hand menu throughout the site; until the end of September there is a 10% discount on the final invoice for all online enquiries.
The launch took place on the 16th July, and the results have proved it to be a resounding success. In the first month alone, results showed that visitors already found it easier to navigate their way through the site than in the past. 89% of the total number of clicks on the old website had been on the home page alone, compared with only 25% for the new site. This outcome indicates that 75% of clicks are spent on the other, more content rich pages on the website. On the old website, only 11% of clicks were spent on pages other than the home page.
