New Series On Building America To Be Featured On The World Progress Report With Joan Lunden

Material Technology Breakthroughs Enable Paradigm Shift in Building Performance and Design.

(1888PressRelease) April 03, 2008 - World Media Television announced the production of a new series titled “Building America” as part of their World Progress Report television program. “Our choices for building materials has been pretty much the same for decades now,” explained Eric Carsigan, producer for the series. “Though fully functional and time-tested, the choice for building has been pretty limited and mundane, but now there appears to be a whole new world of design look and excellent performance and durability in a new breed of building products in the marketplace,” he added.

There will be several topics addressed on the series as a whole, and distinct programs will be distributed to public television, covering a wide spectrum of areas, such as Green Building Today, Smart Home Evolution, Severe Weather Protection Efforts, Siding Technology and Performance, and Basement Remodeling.

“These new building technologies may very well revolutionize the industry,” Eric Carsigan said. “Since the properties of the new polymer technologies enable different shapes and colors to be incorporated, there has been an immediate proliferation of new and exciting products on the marketplace that will undoubtedly be a dream come true for many exterior look designers”, he added. Laboratory tests that simulate weather conditions and aging have indicated that these new materials will meet or exceed current standards within the marketplace. The World Progress Report will present many of these solutions, and their inspirations, to its viewing audience.

The World Progress Report is an issue-oriented and non-commercial program, and is independently produced and distributed by World Media Television directly to public television stations around the country. The World Progress Report strictly follows the standards and practices of public television, and is distributed freely to public television stations in all 50 states. World Media Television and its programming are not affiliated with PBS.
