March 28, 2008 - In many quarters, it seems as though Christianity is on the run. Anthony Horvath was studying to be a pastor when he left the faith. He returned to Christianity on new terms and with a passion to help others avoid his problems. Athanatos Online Academy has the Christian and honest seeker in mind.
Horvath explains, “Our online academy offers courses that go beyond what you get in a normal Bible study and certainly go beyond Sunday School. Youth groups tend to entertain rather then inform. Eventually people decide they want more. The question is where can they go to get reliable information? Our online academy aims to be such a place.”
The courses run just $15.00 per course and last between 2 and 3 weeks, depending on the course. Though the time commitment is low- only 5 hours or so a week- the courses dip into the real meat of the Christian faith. The courses are facilitated by Horvath and a team of experienced apologists who know what questions people are confronted with in the real world.
Horvath says, “Could you argue that Jesus was the Christ from the Old Testament alone? The first apostles did. Could you refute the claims of the Da Vinci Code? Confronted with pain and suffering in the world would you be able to explain why you believe in a good God? These are questions that come up and they’re just a start to what we plan on offering.”
Athanatos Online Academy is enrolling now and classes will begin approximately April 1st, 2008.
