November 17, 2008 - As with the other courses produced by this company, this new one will be offered from Goa, in Ayurvedic birth place, India. The difference this time is that you don’t get the sunshine included! For the new course all you require is a computer, access to the internet and an interest in Ayurveda.
The course is not intended to equip students with all the skills, knowledge and techniques required to practise Ayurvedic therapies on others, it is however say the company, designed to give an excellent and easy to understand, introduction to the subject. Says the Goan Experience’s John McClements, “Students completing the course will be in a position to improve their lifestyles, and almost certainly, their state of health. If however they wish to take advantage of the many commercial opportunities surrounding holistic treatments, further training will be required.”
The course is based on six modules over a period of six months. At the end of the course, students will be asked to complete an examination paper which will be assessed/marked by the Chief Medical Offer at the Ayurvedic Natural Health Centre (Saligao, Goa) in India. The actual examination will be based on the information provided in the course notes and is thus marked/assessed on the student’s ability to be able to ‘find’ the information supplied and to judge their understanding of it.
