October 17, 2007 - HOW TO STOP HAY FEVER BEFORE IT EVEN STARTS!
Forget about drugs or another new type of antihistamine. Here is an ingenious device, developed in the Cornwall, England which prevents airborne pollutants entering the nasal passages in the first place.
It’s called NasalAir Guard® and the way it works is simple: once inserted in the nose, the product’s patented filters block out irritant particles like pollen and allows the rhinitis sufferer to inhale clean air.
Test carried out at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, London have led Dr Glenis Scadding, Consultant Rhinologist and Allergist to comment: “Initial blinded studies comparing NasalAir Guard with a placebo version with enlarged pores demonstrated that symptoms, from nasal administration with grass pollen, were abolished with the real filter.”
Previously, NasalAir Guard® was tested at the University of Plymouth’s School of Molecular Medicine. Researchers there concluded that it was "quite capable of filtering out the pollen spores that cause hay fever.” They even confirmed that “particles as small as viruses such as lambda and pGL3 DNA could be successfully removed."
