January 30, 2008 - After a successful Alpha Test with 300 students in the Fall of 2007, EduCAD Learning Solutions, Inc. has released the EduCAD-ST (SocraticTutor) product in a free public Beta Test at http://www.socratictutor.com/
The product allows students in grades 4-9 to access problems in:

Fractions Addition & Subtraction and Multiplication & Division
Conversions: Percentages Fractions Decimals
Algebraic Equations
Percentage: Word Problems
Percent Change
Rates
Radicals
Absolute Value
Inequalities
Pythagorean Theorem & Midpoint
Linear Equations
Number, Age, Coin, Mixture and Work Problems.
Quadratics Factoring & max/min
via a web 2.0 application interface. The students are presented problems, and they can answer the problem or expose the step-by-step portion of the application that will allow them to see each step broken down with a description of how to solve the problem. As they answer problems correctly without using the step-by-step they are presented with more complex problems.
The application also supports a parent/teacher reporting system that allows them to review progress and even drill down to see every problem that was presented in a session and the students activity for that session.
