Dr. Colin Carlton Ottey is a primary care physician specializing in Internal Medicine. He completed residency training at one of the nation’s premiere teaching hospitals, George Washington Medical Center, in Primary Care Internal Medicine in Washington, DC. Dr. Ottey received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. It is notable that he concurrently completed his Masters of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Illinois School of Public Health during his medical school tenure. He is graduate of Brooklyn College in New York with majors in Chemistry and African Studies.
Dr. Colin Ottey is recognized throughout the country as a patient advocate. He enjoys giving lectures in the community on health topics and has a particular interest in Men’s Health. Out of his commitment to the community and for improving health disparities, Dr. Ottey became one of the founding members and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the COSHAR Foundation Inc. The foundation is committed to impacting the health and lives of the nation. Further, Dr. Ottey remains active in medical organizations, community and civic outreach and medical missionary endeavors in the US, Caribbean, and in Africa. With the onset of Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Colin Ottey volunteered with a medical missions team of healthcare professionals and quickly served the needs of hundreds of victims in the Gulf Coast.

Dr. Ottey is a very compassionate and humble physician who truly does seek to connect with his patients. "We all have struggles, trials and issues in life that we face every day. I refuse to become a doctor that just focuses on seeing patients in an assembly line fashion. Each of my patients are unique and have their own story-- I try to really develop a healthy partnership with them."
Dr. Colin Ottey does have a loyal patient base that continues to sing his praises; "Dr. Ottey is the best doctor that I've ever had, my whole family loves him. When my mother died, he was right there at her bedside and was there at her funeral. He can never know how much he's meant to our family."
