New Episodes of Shades of Green to Air in May

With a great deal of our country’s dependence still placed upon petroleum and coal, we will need to make a collaborative effort from all areas of renewable energy.

(1888PressRelease) April 19, 2009 - From the power of the sun to the wind, Shades of Green continues to spread awareness on all things renewable.

“There is no doubt in my mind we are in a serious economic crisis, and people need to know there are solutions out there,” says producer Rick Dulsky.

SOG is focused on producing an educational show that is not only going to provide intriguing information, but stunning visuals as well. So far, they have documented more than 30 organizations that are making green energy a reality in America.

According to senior producer Ricky Wilson, “too much television is watered-down. There is no real value in it anymore. Even when other shows shed light on green industries, they do it for entertainment value. They do it for the ratings. Shades of Green was inspired by an urgency that we need to wake up to the facts: our country needs change, and this is how it’s going to happen.”

Shades of Green is independently produced by DMG Productions and airs nationwide on Discovery Channel.
