Elaflex started in 1986 were their main task was to assist service maintenance companies to fit and maintain the Elaflex nozzles and petrol pump hoses. This gave them the advantage in the market and helped them achieve an 80% market share.

It can be seen with increasing colds, petrol pump hoses become stiffer and more difficult to handle. This increases when they are empty or filled with Diesel which causes little swelling. When filled with gasoline the swelling of the tube acts as plasticizer improving the cold flexibility.
