April 09, 2009 - A new Australian credit card consumer website was officially launched today. I Want a Credit Card (http://www.iwantacreditcard.com.au) conducts independent reviews of credit cards from all the major financial institutions and offers discussion forums where consumers can ask questions, receive objective advice and share their experiences.
Consumers can also use the online repayment calculator, experiment with the interactive comparison table and apply for credit cards online.
The site aims to encourage a more collaborative approach to choosing the right credit card. "Choosing a credit card can be difficult. Often the important information is hidden away in tiny print in the terms and conditions" says Cameron Austin, a spokesperson for the site. "The best advice comes from people who have the card or have dealt with the financial institution before - that's why we've included forums and the option to leave comments on all our articles and reviews"'. "We've even added a section to allow consumers to request a review on a particular card, or an article on a particular topic - we want to engage with our visitors and help them make an informed decision".
Visitors can choose to join the site (membership is free) and receive regular updates and credit card news.
The site's developers are even keeping a blog, hoping to encourage their members to interact with the team.
