December 05, 2008 - Life coach Sheila Betker and writer/editor Mary Anne Hahn have teamed together to develop a coaching course specifically for writers and aspiring writers. The six-month program, “Success Strategies for Writers,” launches in January 2009, and will be limited to 20 enrollees.
The main thrust of the program, which will be conducted via weekly teleclasses, is to provide writers with the mental and emotional tools and skills they need to overcome blocks to their writing success. Moreover, program enrollees will have access to a members-only discussion list, where they will be able to receive ongoing coaching, discuss and set writing goals, partner with writing buddies, and obtain information on the many resources available for writers both on-line and off.
Sheila Betker of Freedom-to-Dream.com developed the coaching materials for the program and will be primary lead during the teleclasses, while Mary Anne Hahn of WriteSuccess.com will provide writing and editing expertise, and manage the discussion list. “We are extremely excited about this program,” states Betker. “While many on-line courses provide practical writing instruction, few if any address the myriad of ways that writers create blocks to their own success. This course does exactly that.”
Hahn agrees, adding, “I wish I had a course like this when I was starting out. In fact, just working with Sheila and these materials has had a positive affect on my own writing.”
As previously stated, only 20 enrollees will be accepted into the program. This will enable both Betker and Hahn to deliver more individualized, hands-on guidance and coaching than is seen in other on-line coaching programs.
