Eugene-Springfield, OR (1888PressRelease)
April 28, 2009 - The staff of VStreet.com has conducted a complete review of all of its full-length courses and e-zines to determine how each feature meets the goals of both the Ansell-Casey Life Skills Assessment (ACSLA) Domains and Job Corps Competencies. New, easy-to-read charts of the results are available on VStreet.com
VStreet.com is a dynamic Web-based tool that uses visual learning to teach essential life and social skills, develop personal organization, and encourage self-expression. Each feature is meant to be both entertaining and educational, and most contain interactive components which engage viewers and reinforce learning.
Full-length curricula include “Options to Anger,” “Efficacy: Your Secret Power for Decision Making,” “Money Medical: Healthy Money Management,” “Apartment Hunt,” “Car Dreams,” “Private Lives: HIV/STI Education,” “Career Spins,” and “Take This Job and Keep It.”
Nineteen “Getting Ready” e-zines cover topics like healthy living, money management, nutrition, teen parenting, legal rights, transportation, consumer awareness, job hunting, and more.
Most courses and e-zines were developed with an eye toward meeting goals set forth by the Job Corps and ACSLA. The new charts will assist schools, agencies and mentors in creating a learning plan for students, and will help them use VStreet to meet their training goals. The charts are posted as printable PDFs.
