April 16, 2008 - WLG has just completed a new outdoor play attraction at GreenWood Forest Park, near Bangor, commissioned following the success of another WLG attraction ‘TreeTop Towers’ at the park which, as part of a major investment package, saw visitor numbers increase by 20%.
‘Tunnel Warren’ has been constructed to offer younger children the opportunity to enjoy the features of ‘TreeTop Towers’ but on a smaller scale. Designed to aid the under 7s with their physical skills, the new attraction is based around an animal theme and includes an array of timber structures, plastic tunnels, wooden ramps, steps, rope bridges and slides.
Will Wain, of GreenWood Forest Park commented:“ We were keen to create a sister attraction to TreeTop Towers which has proved to be such a success with our younger visitors since it opened in May 2006.We hope Tunnel Warren can follow in the footsteps of TreeTop Towers and further increase the number of visitors we see at the park in 2007.”
WLG has also installed a small residential timber cabin in the park, acting as the site manager's office and accommodation block. This has been constructed to full UK building regulations.
