January 09, 2008 - Networking Event and Charity Fundraiser hailed as a success for local business.
Recently, Wolfestone Translation Ltd, a Swansea based company which deals with translation and interpreting services, hosted a Networking Event with a difference which resulted in raising £450 for mental health charity Hafal.
The event which was held at Café Nisse on Wind Street incorporated a networking event with a website launch which illustrated the free resources available online such as free translation tool, language identifier, common phrases and world times. The event also gave Wolfestone an opportunity to discuss the benefits of translation to business. As a socially responsible company Wolfestone also saw the evening as an ideal opportunity to raise money for Hafal a leading mental health charity in Wales who use Wolfestone Translation to reach otherwise disenfranchised communities of ethnic minorities in Wales and beyond.
Wolfestone Translation often use their business as a platform to help disadvantaged communities and countries, for example when a business or individual uses Wolfestone for their translation needs a percentage of the cost goes toward feeding hungry children throughout the world, setting an example to business everywhere.
At this particular event there was a champagne reception, international buffet, and a cultural quiz to test guest’s knowledge of different countries and customs. Mike Jones from the Federation of Small Businesses said of the event that ‘it was absolutely wonderful hospitality’ whilst Terry Roche from Data Cabs said ‘the evening has been an enlightening experience, a good opportunity to meet local businesses and I am sure to use the free resources on the website!’
