October 28, 2008 - eAegis has extended memory for the recently launched Netgear ReadyNAS Pro to a huge 3GB from the standard offering of 1GB. This will be a welcome announcement to power users of the ReadyNAS PRO as the extra memory boost the overall performance of the unit measured using subsets of real world workload traces gathered from typical digital home applications, traces of high definition video playback and recording, office productivity applications, video rendering/content creation as well as a broad range of different applications to achieve the resultant performance measurement.
The upgrade is provided at no cost to the user and is available from eAegis and included in the entire ReadyNAS PRO ranging from the RNDP6350, RNDP6310 and RND6610. The memory upgrade initiative clearly sets eAegis once again head and shoulders above its peers.
