April 10, 2008 - Broadcast live by NBC across the nation and hosted by America’s favourite brother and sister, Donny and Marie Osmond, the 57th Miss USA Beauty Pageant will be held for the first ever time in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday April 11 2008.
Watching the pageant was an anticipated yearly event when Donny and I were growing up," said Marie Osmond. "We are honoured to be a part of this tradition and to make Miss USA a memorable night for millions of new viewers, as well as our sponsors and supporters.
Miss USA 2007, Rachel Smith, will crown her successor at the conclusion of the two-hour primetime telecast, before an estimated viewing audience in the U.S. alone of over 7 million. Each contestant from all 50 states and the District of Columbia will have already received their personal Nephria gift bag, before being judged in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview.

Each contestant from 50 American states and the District of Columbia will be judged in three categories: Swimsuit, Evening Gown and Interview. Amongst the judges are: former wife of Paul McCartney, Heather Mills; actor, Rob Schneider; Olympic gold medal swimmer, Amanda Beard; San Diego Chargers linebacker, Shawne "Lights Out" Merriman and Entrepreneur, Robert Earl, CEO of Planet Hollywood and a Director of Everton Football Club. The winner of the pageant will represent the United States of America at the Miss Universe 2008 Pageant, to be held in Vietnam on 14 July.
