NBC Local Integrated Media Launches With Broadcast Interactive Media

NBC Local Integrated Media and Broadcast Interactive Media expand website focus on 'local'.


(1888PressRelease) November 20, 2008 - New York, NY – 9 station sites launch in record time, with a ‘Locals Only’ focus. New look, new capability for local media sites. NBC announces the first in a series of new website launches for their owned and operated stations with the launch of www.nbcchicago.com in conjunction with Broadcast Interactive Media.

Eight additional NBC sites have launched in the following markets: New York, Los Angeles, Dallas-Ft. Worth, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Hartford, and San Diego.

According to Timur Yarnall, Broadcast Interactive’s President/CEO, “The NBC Chicago launch and the entire NBC project is a tremendous step for BIM. Stations want flexibility and control over their websites using open-source based systems without having to build systems internally. Broadcast Interactive utilizes Clickability, Inc. as its exclusive partner in providing hosted content management systems to more than 150 TV and radio station clients throughout the country.
