Nature Walk Planned For The Summit At BaratHaven On Sept. 23

To celebrate the natural elements of BaratHaven and help support its new school, Barat Academy, Hayden Homes is hosting a nature walk at 10 a.m. on Sunday, September 23. The event will raise money for Barat Academy.

St. Louis, MO-IL (1888PressRelease) September 18, 2007 - A family walking through trails, taking in the exceptional views of the forest winding through the Great Rivers Greenway District. New students practicing soccer and studying in the shade. A young couple enjoying fishing at the 15-acre stocked lake. These are the sights of BaratHaven. To celebrate the natural elements of the neighborhood and help support its new school, Barat Academy, Hayden Homes is hosting a nature walk.

The nature walk will start at 10 a.m., Sunday, September 23. The public is welcome to join the Hayden team to experience the Summit at BaratHaven. The guided walk will follow the course of the Great Rivers Greenway BaratHaven Trail, approximately two miles, and will include identification of tree species and Missouri Native Birds. Hayden Homes president Dennis Hayden, Dardenne Prairie Mayor Pam Fogarty, and ZanolaCo president Joe Zanola will guide the walk. Immediately following, Hayden will provide healthy refreshments at its Durham model home.

In conjunction with the event, Hayden Homes will raise money to support Barat Academy. The builder will raffle off bikes for a family of four (6/$5 or 1/$1) and accept donations in any denomination. Hayden will give pedometers to the walkers as well as any Summit at BaratHaven visitors during the week of September 23.

“What better way to experience The Summit and all BaratHaven has to offer than by going on a nature walk with friends and family?” Dennis Hayden said. “The walkable, natural community and celebrated new school combined with the convenience and luxury of Hayden’s homes offers an experience for residents in The Summit.”

The Summit includes 50 homesites ideally situated in the heart of St. Charles County just off Highway 40 between Weldon Spring Road and WingHaven Boulevard. The community makes homeowners a part of the Great Rivers Greenway District, a unique system of greenways, parks and trails that encourages walking and enjoyment of the natural setting. BaratHaven is a McEagle Life Works community.

Founded in 1977, Hayden Homes has built more than 3,500 homes in 50 new home communities. Specializing in the move-up market, Hayden offers homes including single-family homes, condominium-style villas, and condominiums priced from the $320,000s to more than $2 million. The attention to detail and quality Hayden Homes has paid to each community has won the company numerous Homer and BRAVO awards from the Home Builders Association. Hayden has also captured the attention of major news organizations from the New York Times to CBS News because of its innovative design options, including a first floor guest suite.
