The Native Learning Center (NLC) offers FREE courses and training to Native Americans and Indigenous people with an emphasis on the educational needs of tribal members and their communities. The NLC is a department of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, and was established in partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in 2008.
The NLC%u2019s learning opportunities and resources focus on areas that are critical to the growth and improved quality of life for Native communities. Our focus areas include: Celebrating Culture & Language, Financial Wellness, Grant Education, Housing Strategies, and Tribal Government.
The Native Learning Center has added new presentations that focuses on Strengthening Tribal Communities into the Future to it's 5th Annual Summer Conference Agenda.
Join the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Native Learning Center (NLC) in celebrating our 5th Annual Summer Conference! We would like to invite you back to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, FL for a curriculum of unique courses led by expert instructors that focus on Strengthening Tribal Communities into the Future.
The Native Learning Center is happy to see its company grow with new team members like Staci Eagle Elk (Osage Nation) as the Director of Training and Technical Services. With her addition to the Native Learning Center team, she will continue to be dedicated to the development of cultural and quality of life skills for all Native and Indigenous people.
The Grant Researching & Proposal Writing in Indian Country Workshop will provided ways to write grants, research grants, and seek private and federal grants.
The conference will present a variety of courses focusing on Celebrating Culture & Language, Financial Wellness, Grants Education, Housing Strategies, and Tribal Government. The conference will also host an array of cultural vendors throughout the duration of the event.
The Native Learning Center will present a variety of classes for Native Americans focusing on Housing Strategies, Grants Education and Celebrating Culture and Language. The Symposium will host a multitude of cultural vendors throughout the duration of the event. All those throughout Indian Country are welcome!
