October 30, 2009 - Bob Ozburn brings a wealth of leadership and management experience to the National Real Estate Auction Group, where he oversees company operations and strategic planning.
Ozburn has spent more than 30 years in real estate, consulting, and automotive management roles. After a career of franchise consulting, network development and recruiting in the automotive industry, he became Vice President of Real Estate at Office Depot. In this position, he managed a real estate portfolio of 1100 retail stores in the United States and Canada. In addition, he developed a team to transform the company’s retail presence that enabled the company to manage increasing real estate and construction expense. With the traditional business model under pressure from rising costs, Ozburn set up a preferred development program that took advantage of consistent contracts, leases and developer relationships. He also sparked an internal company trial to investigate savings from using internal resources to build properties.
During his time at Office Depot, his team increased new store construction from an average of twenty new stores every three years to 300 stores in three years. Ozburn’s ability to develop new Real Estate avenues from joint ventures, surplus acquisition and lease sales enabled Office Depot to grow competitively in the demanding retail segment.
As head of Company Operations and Strategic Planning at National Real Estate Auction Group, Ozburn contributes valuable skills and knowledge from his extensive background in real estate development. Ozburn graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida earning a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. He later graduated from the University of Michigan with an MBA in Marketing. He is also licensed for Real Estate in the state of Florida.
