National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Belinda Jasmine as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field
Belinda Jasmine, Owner of The Skinny Mirror, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through the National Association of Distinguished Professionals.
- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) February 20, 2015 - Ms. Jasmine will be featured in the upcoming edition of the NADP Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015.
Belinda Jasmine came up with the idea of The Skinny Mirror in October 2012. Beginning her company after officially launching the website, she starting making and shipping these unique mirrors out of her 120 sq. ft. living room. In March 2014, The Skinny Mirror moved the operation to a warehouse in Sand City, California that better supported inventory, assembly, fulfillment, and administration.
"After pulling an old mirror out of the attic and sticking it on the wall, I began to feel like I was gaining weight even though my body weight was consistent and my clothes fit the same," Ms. Jasmine explained. "How could a simple mirror reflection affect how I feel about my body? The mirror was a 'fat' mirror; it adds 10 pounds. I wanted a 'skinny' mirror, so I figured out how to make one with a subtle, slimming effect."
Currently in their third year, Ms. Jasmine has her hands in all departments for now. It is with great pride that she is able to offer the public a product that helps more women and girls rise above the media ideals and remind them that no matter our shape and size, we are beautiful. The Skinny Mirror is a reflection of this concept.
Ms. Jasmine previously worked as a graphic artist and web designer. She also has experience in shop internet and print making, as well as market research designing online surveys for Fortune 500 companies. Throughout her career, Ms. Jasmine has earned several national web design awards. Most recently, The Skinny Mirror received national coverage in the media for a press release they had written on the company.
