September 22, 2009 - In celebration of National Public Lands Day, the Naperville Park District is offering buy 1, get 1 free admission to the Millennium Carillon in Moser Tower on Saturday, September 26. Regular price is $3 per person for individuals ages 5 and older.
The Park District is joining in this national effort that brings together volunteers to work on park land projects and generates appreciation for parks and park amenities in communities across the nation.
"Public engagement in parks and recreation is essential to creating healthy communities," said Sameera Luthman, director of marketing & communications for the Naperville Park District. "We're pleased to have the opportunity to participate in National Public Lands Day and highlight the wonderful opportunities we have in Naperville, just as many others are doing the same in their communities in states all across the nation."
The Millennium Carillon in Moser Tower is located along the scenic Naperville Riverwalk. It includes a 72-bell instrument that can be played by a carillonneur or automatically on the hour. Visitors can ascend the stairs to the top of the tower to enjoy a spectacular view that includes the Chicago skyline on clear days. The adjacent Visitor Center educates guests on the Carillon, Naperville Riverwalk and community history.
