NAMI Hillsborough Observes Mental Illness Awareness Week October 4-10, 2009 Education Needed to Build Stronger Communities

Serious mental illness such as major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic disorder is a medical illness which affects one in four families living in the U.S. About 60 million Americans experience mental health problems in any given year and one in 17 live with the most serous conditions.
