  • (1888PressRelease) April 30, 2016 - Engineering education is much talked subject in the Country since many of the engineers who come out of the colleges do not possess the needed skills to solve the practical problems. To find the engineering solutions to problems require proper orientation. Keeping this factor in mind some of the prominent professionals and educationists who have spent several decades in building the systems and also in training the students with specific focus on the problem solving have conceived an interesting programme termed as "Tomorrow's Engineer". Education worldwide is slowly becoming outcome oriented than syllabus driven. In the case of an Engineer the expectation is that he or she has to offer elegant and cost effective solutions to many of the problems. Particularly in the case of societal problems it is important to find the locally relevant, environmentally friendly solutions. This calls for an ability to keenly observe the world we live in, to notice the problems that need solutions, perseverance to find solutions, ability to interact with all stakeholders, an awareness of the environment and above all an ability to be creative. Tomorrows Engineer was an event that aims to sensitize students of engineering towards finding the engineering solutions to many of such problems and introduce them to a broad framework for engaging with many practical problems.

Tomorrows Engineer is conceived as three day intense programme where these eminent professionals from industry and academia with immense experience in creating solutions to many complex engineering problems attempt to improve their skills in finding the right solutions.
