Music Vs. Drunk Driving And Drive Thru Records Offer Show At Avalon In Salt Lake City

Music vs. Drunk Driving teams up with Drive Thru Records to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving.

(1888PressRelease) March 27, 2008 - SALT LAKE CITY, UT — Music Vs. Drunk Driving announced today that they will be working with Drive Thru Records to put on a charitable show dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving. The show will be held on April 26, 2008 at The Avalon in Salt Lake City. Bands that have been confirmed to play are: 2nd Day Crush, Mury, Broke City, The Classic Crime [Tooth & Nail], Socratic [Drive Thru Records], You, Me, and Everyone We Know [Drive Thru Records], Say No More [Drive Thru Records], The Trademark, The Recovery, Allred, and The Sweater Friends.

All proceeds for the show will go directly to the Music Vs. Drunk Driving organization. Music vs. Drunk Driving (MVDD) believes that music holds the key to the story for young kids and adults today – and that it should be used to communicate and influence society in a positive way. Since their beginning, MVDD has been involved in numerous events including: The Inland Empire Music Awards, The Orange County Music Awards, and Walk Like MADD. Now, the organization is continually trying to plan more events nationally, including shows featuring bands from across the United States.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to put on a show where so many great bands can play, and show their support for MVDD. This is one of the first of many shows that Music Vs. Drunk Driving will be supporting and putting on, so keep an eye out for us in the future!” says MVDD founder and CEO Allison Navarro.
