April 18, 2008 - Suzaini, a seasoned professional of the hospitality industry with more than 19 years of sales and marketing experience, is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to maximise market share, revenue, sales activities and occupancy growth while upholding the organization’s mission.
In her new capacity as the director of marketing, Suzaini leads the sales and marketing division, which includes events management, sales, reservations, marketing services, revenue management, communications and the Shangri-La Club membership programme.
Suzaini first joined Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa, Kota Kinabalu in 1989 as a management trainee and subsequently moved up to sales coordinator in the sales department. In January 1993, she accepted the challenge of sales manager and later held the position in Kuala Lumpur’s sales office for approximately two years.
From May 1996 to September 2005, Suzaini held prominent positions in numerous international five-star hotels and resorts before rejoining Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa, Kota Kinabalu in November 2005 as director of sales.
