    TiMed's Scientific Advisor, Prof. Ferenc A. Jolesz was the Honorary Guest Speaker at the conference.Prof. Jolesz has achieved international recognition as one of the great innovators and leaders in radiological research. He is currently the B. Leonard Holman Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and Director of National Center for Image Guided Therapy. Prof. Jolesz received the Gold Medal of ISMRM for his pioneering research in interventional radiology. The key point in Prof. Jolesz's speech highlights the importance of Intraoperative MR imaging during surgery today, especially neurosurgery, which requires extremely precise location and size of the tumor. In the past, the MR images or X-Ray images were taken before the operation which might not be as precise in real time of surgery.

    The seminar consisted and exchange of valuable knowledge & information amongst professionals of the MRI field, such as Dr. Nim Cheung, CEO of ASTRI; Dr. Lilian Leong, founding president of the Hong Kong College of Radiologists; Prof. Peter Yum, Dean of Engineering of Chinese University of Hong Kong and over 60 radiologists from China and Hong Kong.
