April 23, 2009 - Next Wednesday, April 30, 2009, Moxie Realty Group will bring together a group of financial experts to provide an overview of residential real estate investing, its benefits, and how to break into the market.
"With interest rates at an all-time low and Austin's residential real estate inventory relatively high, the market provides many opportunities for investors, whether they are new to investing or already own rental properties," said Justine Smith, a Realtor with Moxie and herself an investor. Moxie's Realtors want to share their successes in these type of investments and open the door to others to experience the same benefits.
Real estate is not a get rich quick scheme. But prudent investments can provide as good as - if not better - returns as the stock market, while also providing certain tax incentives. Mishell Kneeland, another Moxie Realtor who is also a practicing attorney, says, "People don't invest in real estate is that they think it is far more complicated than it is. We want to show people that real estate investment is not complex and that it is within striking distance for many people."
Moxie is bringing together real estate professionals, lenders, and financial professionals to lay out the basics of residential real estate investment and answer questions.
Says Smith, "We hope that this seminar will provide an opportunity for potential investors to learn the pros and cons of real estate investment and be able to make an educated decision about where to put their money, especially since we are seeing so many opportunities in the Austin market now."
