March 27, 2008 - Movie Geeks United! Pays Tribute to and Interviews Writer/Director Paul Schrader
With Special Guests.
“This is certain to be one of the most entertaining, exciting and insightful shows we’ve ever produced,” says show writer, producer and co-host Jamey DuVall. “simply given the fact that Mr. Schrader remains one of our most thought-provoking and uncompromising of filmmakers.”
Several collaborators will be interviewed on the program to attest to Mr. Schrader’s particular brand of cinematic genius, including superstar Jeff Goldblum (The Fly, Jurassic Park, Adam Resurrected), Dana Delany (Light Sleeper, Desperate Housewives), William Forsythe (The Rock, Patty Hearst) and Thomas G. Waites (And Justice For All, Light of Day).
The tribute event takes place just days before the Movie Geeks welcome Mr. Schrader himself to their program. On Sunday, March 30 at 6pm EST, listeners can tune in to hear a live discussion with Paul Schrader, as he reviews his past experiences as a film critic, his screenwriting partnership with Martin Scorsese, as well as his still thriving career as a maverick film director.
During live broadcasts, listeners may converse with other film fans in the chat room or call in with their own questions at 718-508-9477.
