February 20, 2009 - This past weekend, February 14th and 15th, the Northeast Motorcycle Expo was in Fredericksburg, Virginia. There were vendors galore selling everything from detailing products, to leather apparel, to motorcycles of all sizes, makes and models, but the vendor that seemed to be a hit and really gathered a crowd was the one with motorcycle LED light display.
Their black tent just radiated with streams of color. Light boards hung displaying the many different products consumers had to choose from. There were LED strips with different degrees of flexibility and different sizes. There were LED pod units of various shapes and sizes. It seemed that there was an LED light unit suitable for lighting any area on any motorcycle a biker could want. The color selection included amber, blue, green, jade, orange, pink, purple, red, and white. There were remote control units that made the lights strobe, fade, breathe, and flash at varying rates of speed. There was even a remote control unit that allowed different sections of a bike to light up at different times. For the biker looking for “bling”, this was a match made in heaven.
The product selection was only part of the draw. There was a display bike in the booth that was custom painted and fully equipped with Magical Wizard Lights, the recently introduced and latest in color-changing technology. These color-changing Magical Wizard Lights slowly faded from yellow to green to teal to blue to red to orange to white. It was like watching a rainbow unfold and many of the spectators were taping the demonstration.
Some spectators at the show were purchasing “do it yourself” motorcycle LED kits while others were booking appointments for installations.
It was evident that the products and the displays brought the people to the booth but it was the professional and knowledgeable staff that kept them there. These guys were more than willing to answer all questions that came their way. They explained both the products and the installation in detail to anyone that asked. They even made several trips to the parking lot to give some truly personalized instruction.
Everyone that came to the event had a lot to see and do but no one missed the Motorcycle LED Light booth.
