The owner of Morada Vision Marshall Blonstein states “We have three basic sales principles: “The first is to be associated with classic artists and entertainers such as Soupy Sales,” he explains. “Second is to keep the integrity of the artist’s original vision; and third, make our product visible and available worldwide.”
Previously Morada Vision controlled 50% of the Soupy Sales TV shows, in a move to show their complete commitment to the legendary comedian, the company has purchased the remaining interest of the rights to the shows. Blonstein and his company are very excited that the entire catalogue is now available for DVD, television, satellite, cable, film clips, and downloads. The new agreement covers not only the US and Canada, but also the world.
Blonstein commented, “Previously we controlled 50% of 120 half hour episodes of Soupy Sales TV shows, along with additional hours of Soupy home movies, as well as his many guest appearances on television shows. We look forward to bringing the world the entire body of work Soupy Sales created throughout the 60s and 70s and his many guest appearances from the 70s and 80s.
Soupy Sales is one of the most beloved, funniest and renowned comedians ever, he received his star on the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 7, 2005. At the event, the Mayor of Hollywood insisted on getting a pie in his face just like Frank Sinatra, Alice Cooper and so many other celebrities over the years – and of course Soupy was delighted to comply. In addition, a record number of the press attended the event.
