  • San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) May 15, 2014 - Monvera Glass Décor, an industry leader in screen printing on glass bottles is providing the market with a new way of improving efficiency on the bottling line by using screen printed labels. Unlike paper labels, screen printing requires the direct printing of the label on the wine bottle before it is filled. Therefore the bottle arrives at the bottling line with the label already applied.

According to Caitriona Anderson, Monvera's VP of Sales & Marketing, "screen printed labels provides an often overlooked benefit. We encourage our customers to consider this cost saving when they are making a decision regarding screen printed wine labels. The bottling line runs a lot more efficiently when you don't have to worry about the application of the paper label. That efficiency translates into saved production costs."

Mobile bottlers recognize the efficiencies that can be achieved. They like to see bottles with a screen printed label on them. According to Bill Hamlin of Custom Bottling Company in WA, "many issues can exist with the application of paper labels on the bottling line. We've lost many hours of bottling in the past. Unfortunately that results in extended bottling time and pushes up our costs"

Waugh Cellars, one of Monvera's customers, reaped double the benefit, when they decided to print the neck of their wine bottle along with the screen printed label . In addition to omitting the need to apply the paper label on the bottling line they were also able to eliminate the need for a capsule. "When we decided to forgo the use of foil capsules, instead opting for screen printed necks, the bottlers really loved us," said Crystal Waugh, Director of Sales. "Less moving parts equal a more efficient production process."
