September 22, 2007 - MLC PR announced that nationally renowned psychologist “Dr. Debra” Mandel has signed on for their services. Besides having a thriving private practice in Westlake Village and Encino, California, Dr. Debra is also a respected author, columnist, speaker, and media expert with over twenty years of experience.
A member of the American Psychological Association and the Los Angeles County Psychological Association, Dr. Debra graduated summa cum laude from California State University Northridge in just three years, and then received her Masters in psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in 1984. She earned her doctorate degree in clinical psychology in 1987, and was licensed to practice in California in 1989. In addition to this, she also received specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), a therapy approach particularly beneficial to trauma patients.
Based on her experience of working with dozens of couples and being a relationship expert, Dr. Debra has written her third book, “Dump That Chump: From Doormat to Diva in Only Nine Steps – A Guide to Getting Over Mr. Wrong.” The book gives advice to women on how to end destructive relationships, with minimal damage. It is slatted to be released in October 2007 and is published by Harper Collins.
