Mission San Antonio in Jolon Hosts Elegant Wine-Tasting Event, "Evening in the Garden", on November 5th

  • Salinas, CA (1888PressRelease) October 28, 2016 - "Evening in the Garden," which takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. that night, provides an enchanting opportunity to sample wines from many outstanding local wineries while nibbling on a selection of specially catered gourmet delights, all amid the ambiance of The Padre's Garden.

    In addition to the garden event, there will also be a separate event, "A Port Sensory Experience," in which Marin Wolgamott of Marin's Vineyard will partner with staff from the Chocolate Dachshund in pairing ports and chocolates.

    Established by Padre Junipero Serra in 1771, Mission San Antonio de Padua is located on 86 pristine acres on what was once the Milpitas unit of the sprawling Hearst Ranch and sits within the Valley of the Oaks on California's Central Coast in Jolon.

    Tickets are $50 per person, or $60 at the door. Cost for the Sensory Event is $120 per person. This sensory experience has extremely limited seating, so make your reservations now. Your $120 donation will give you seating at the Sensory Event, a Riedel port wine glass, chocolates to go and entrance to the main "Evening in the Garden" event with an additional commemorative wine glass and admission to the Port Room.
