Milk Alternative Popular For Food Storage And Everyday Use Now In Grocery Stores

Morning Moos, a powdered milk alternative, has become popular for everyday use as well as for food storage. The drink comes in several flavors, and it is now sold in Macey’s grocery stores throughout Utah.

Salt Lake City-Ogden, UT (1888PressRelease) July 30, 2007 - “Store what you eat, and eat what your store” is the advice of food storage experts, and Morning Moos powdered milk alternative is in high demand for that very reason.

The distinctive black and white cans of the locally manufactured Morning Moos are on prominent display inside all the Macey’s grocery stores and are a very hot-selling item, according to Jeff Augason of Blue Chip Group, Inc.

“Families like Morning Moos, because it comes in chocolate and orange flavors as well as regular milk flavor, plus it is less expensive than regular milk. It has a rich taste that kids love, so it is great for everyday use and food storage as well,” explained Augason. “Now that it is so easily available in every Macey’s it has become even more popular as more and more people discover it every day,” he added.

Morning Moos is not new. It was created over 30 years ago by Blue Chip Group founder Phil Augason, who passed away a few years ago. Until recently, customers traveled to the company offices at 432 West 3440 South in Salt Lake to make their purchases, and many continue to purchase through mail order from all across the U.S. and from around the world, according to Augason.

Concerns about possible disasters have many people working on building an emergency supply of foods that they also use on a daily basis. Morning Moos comes in large cans that are perfectly suited to storage, and buying the cans is less expensive than buying fresh milk, according to Augason.

“Food is less expensive when purchased in larger quantities. We teach people to buy a little extra of the foods they use on a regular basis each time they shop. Eventually they can build up a good supply of food that they can rely on if disaster strikes,” said Augason. “Now it is easy for people to buy a can or two of Morning Moos each time they shop at Macey’s. It doesn’t take long to build up a food storage supply that way.”

Augason offers help and suggestions for food storage at http://www.FoodStorageIdeas.com, a web site that offers disaster and emergency food storage help. Morning Moos and other food storage items are available at the company headquarters in Salt Lake City, as well as in the Macey’s stores throughout Utah.
