September 27, 2008 - Milestone Providers announced today the approval of their life settlement provider licenses in the states of Hawaii and Montana. Milestone is the first life settlement provider licensed in the state of Hawaii after the revisions made in June of this year to Hawaii’s life settlement statute. Milestone received the Montana provider license earlier in the week, and is now able to transact business in 40 states, including non-regulated states. “The addition of these two states makes Milestone one of the most licensed providers in the industry, and is a real testament to the dedication and thoroughness of our licensing and compliance department” stated Douglas Lehman, chief legal officer for Milestone.
Applications are currently in progress for all other licensed states except for Alaska and Florida.
