Midwest RFID Symposium, October 23 & 24, 2007 At The University Of Kansas – Focus On Improving Manufacturing Efficiencies

The 3rd Annual Midwest RFID Symposium, sponsored by Rush Tracking Systems and ITTC’s RFID Alliance Lab, will spotlight closed-loop radio frequency identification (RFID) applications such as asset management, security access control, and industrial automation. Case studies will demonstrate how RFID can drive more flexible, lean manufacturing operations.

(1888PressRelease) August 22, 2007 - Scheduled presentations include Michael Fisher, from Intermec, explaining how RFID can be used for error proofing; Andrew Bennett, from HK Systems, identifying strategies for linking Six Sigma and RFID projects; and Raj Saksena, from Omnitrol Networks, demonstrating how RFID can provide real-time work-in-progress visibility on work orders, people, parts and assets. Other breakout sessions will focus on asset tracking of inventory and returnable assets. In addition, general sessions will cover choosing the right technology for your application and evaluating RFID’s impact on an organization.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to see some of the latest RFID products and to meet with speakers in the exhibit hall. Exhibitors include Ekahau, QLM Consulting, Rush Tracking Systems, RFID Inc., Blue Vector, SAVR Communications, System Concepts, and CompTIA. Those who wish to learn even more about implementing RFID in their businesses can attend the post-symposium seminar, RFID for Intelligent Asset Management, an intensive two-day course on closed-loop applications for managing assets and controlling processes.
