(Global) - Digital ambassador Derek Lefholz, sole member of the electronic outfit, DegreeZero, has been passionately plugging away through the ins and outs of an ever-changing musical landscape. Since the April release of “Beneath the Surface”, the debut EP release from DegreeZero, Lefholz has been busy promoting the album and needling away in the studio on the songs that make up the newest release entitled, “Ob-Session”. With a production schedule full of original compositions, cues for film and TV and Holiday songs to boot, DegreeZero has created an inclusive answer for an industry geared as much towards marketing and advertising as it is radio airplay.
“Ob-Session,” due out October 2th, 2007 is the second installment from Lefholz Publishing and the synonymous record label DegreeZero Records. With original songs like “The Keeper”, “Decision”, “D.F.Y.M.” and “Italia”, Lefholz taps into the trance and electro club elements with a vision of underground pop radio. Staying true to form, he has also created five cues composed of original electronica/sound fx and five electronic versions of Christmas classics. As the companies prepare to promote the hottest items this Holiday season, DegreeZero is ready with his unique brand of electronica to support their messages. With classics such as “O’Come All Ye Fatithful (ºZero Tech Mix)”, “Jingle Bells (ºZero Twisted Remix)”, “Deck the Halls (ºZero Spaced Out Mixed)” and more, DegreeZero surely has an answer for advertising campaigns aimed at upbeat songs targeting the fun and excitement that surrounds the Holidays. “My goal with this release is two-fold – to produce original tracks for the fans and cater to an industry that needs to cut through the clutter. I see the changes constantly moving towards a cultural shift in America. Unlike our UK cousins, the U.S. has been slow in its acceptance of the musical innovation of electronica but recently, electronic is gaining a more wide scoped acceptance, which directly aligns with the timing of this release.”
