You can launch initial research on tables structure and interdependence via Tools->Resource Description->Tables. Tables are categorized by series and they are sorted by table physical name, table group technical name (here you see tables interdependencies in one table cluster, like account master tables: GL00100, GL00102, etc.)
• Microsoft Dexterity Customizations world. If you remember good-days of 1990th technical boom, a lot of Great Plains Software Dynamics customers went the route of Dexterity customization – typically modified business logic was developed in Dexterity specifically for one customer and so, kind of unique customization. Nowadays – you may need version upgrade and code revision for your legacy Dexterity customization. You often here from “too technologically savvy” GP partners that you need completely redesign dex customization, that it should be redone in SQL stored procs and eConnect – you may object – in your case you don’t need new stuff, you just need the old custom logic to work with new version – and you may be right
