May 21, 2008 - Founded in 1944, BAGB has evolved into one of the largest trade associations in New England with more than 700 members and is affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Home Builders Association of Massachusetts (HBAM). The Builder, Associate and Remodeler of the Year are first nominated by BAGB membership and then voted on in a second general election among BAGB membership.
“I am truly honored to receive this award. Especially knowing it comes from my peers in the building industry,” said Meyer. “I have been part of the Builders Association of Greater Boston for the past decade and am proud of its commitment to professionalism, integrity and building excellence. It means a great deal to me to be recognized by this prestigious organization.”
That’s a topic Meyer knows a little something about. He is currently BAGB’s First Vice President and will take over as President in 2009.
“Builders nowadays face a great number of issues, like the repeal efforts of 40B, the movement toward green building and challenges of marketing in this homebuilding environment,” continued Meyer. “As part of BAGB’s leadership team, I want to make sure that we’re at the forefront of addressing and solving these issues while making a membership to our association a more than worthwhile investment.”
