July 04, 2008 - Internet advertising has recorded a remarkable growth rate in the past few years and the trend is continuing in the current year also. According to a new Nielsen Monitor-Plus report, the expenditure in the advertising industry as a whole failed to grow by even a single percentage point between the first quarters of 2007 and 2008, but surprisingly online ads rose by 14.7 percent.
Various industries have backed this growth, few examples are as follows. The health and telecommunications companies were the main ones benefiting from the same, with their increases totaling 108 and 80 percent, following them were the hardware and electronics advertisers who drove results in display impressions with 65% growth. Automotive and consumer companies also added on the growth by posting an increase of 45% and 42% respectively.
Financial services sector was perhaps the only sector who decreased its investment in display impressions and sponsored searches. Internet advertising could withstand the pressure of a falling economy in the first quarters 2007 and 2008, and this endurance has further proven its worth and in the times to come, one can expect this industry to scale the farthest heights of consumer reach and market penetration.
Ms Meenakshi Wali, the Business Development Head and Co Founder of Rupiz Ads, stated, “This growth is just the stepping stone to a vast change in the advertising arena, as internet advertising will soon emerge as the leader in this domain” She further went on to commit that this industry holds the key to the massive untapped customer base which can grow the respective industries by huge numbers.
Rupiz Ads is flagship brand of conglomerate Rupiz Infotech, and has been able to prove its worth in the global markets time and again. It is emerging as one of the major players who is shouldering the weight of this massive growth in the internet advertising sector.
