August 18, 2007 - Memphis Sound Entertainment Sponsors Special Night At The Memphis Redbirds For The Children Of Porter Leath. "Thanks to our special relationship with the Memphis Redbirds, we are able to provide tickets to the very deserving children at Porter Leath" said Woody Degan, Owner and Director of Operations for Memphis Sound Entertainment. "You just can't get more family-friendly-oriented than a Memphis Redbirds Baseball game. It will be a great opportunity for some of these children to share and enjoy a great American pastime!"
Memphis Sound Entertainment has been the Official And Exclusive Game Day Entertainment Service Provider to The Memphis Redbirds Baseball Foundation and AutoZone Park for nearly a decade, providing the stage, sound, lighting, bands, and musical entertainment for the pre and post-game entertainment throughout the season. Most recently, Degan and Memphis Sound Entertainment produced the Officially-Sanctioned Live Shows for the kick-off of Elvis Week.
Memphis Sound Entertainment is also a proud Sponsor of Porter Leath Children's Services and Home in Memphis, Tennessee. For over 150 years, Porter-Leath has been the primary resource for Memphis' at-risk children and families. By focusing on the essential building blocks of healthy development, they provide not only access to the tools they need, but also a sense of hope. The result is that Porter-Leath helps build stronger children, stronger families and a stronger Memphis. In 2005, Porter Leath presented their annual Community Service Award for providing production services, music, entertainment, power generators, stages, sound, lighting, and decorations for numerous fundraising activities and events. Executive staff from Memphis Sound have also assisted in painting, moving furniture, cleaning, and remodeling work at the children's home.
