March 18, 2007 - February 21st, 2007: MELBOURNE – Local experience and activities business, Gifts That Thrill, has won over the competition to gain exclusive rights to promote the ultimate in VIP access to the Owner’s Suite during major events at one of the UK’s best known motor racing venues, Donington Park.
Starting with the SBK World Superbike Championship in March 2007, where Australia’s world champion, Troy Bayliss will be battling against the world’s best, the VIP access provides unequivocal privileges and access to the sport’s best.
“Securing any major event passes is a coup for the experience business in Australia. Ordinary Australian’s here and in the UK now have the opportunity to sit alongside prominent people in the sport, including sports personalities and past title holders,” says local businessman Phil Williams.
Over three days, the VIP experience starts with full access to the owner’s suite overlooking the circuit which includes the Melbourne Hairpin. There’s also attendance at rider appearances, media conferences and visits to the pits on race day.
Phil considers these as V.V.I.P. passes as he explains, “There’s very few opportunities to mix with the stars of the sport in the owner’s suite, to ride on the circuit with ‘Rocket’ Ron Haslam only a day or two after the major event or to have privileged access to the pit lane and the world’s largest collection of F1 cars. These are unique experiences that you simply can’t get anywhere else”.
As well as the WSBK Championship, other high profile Donington events will be announced shortly. With the UK’s Formula 1 Grand Prix rights coming up for discussion, Phil is keenly watching events unfold.
