August 18, 2006 - Wayzata, MN – Melberg Marketing, a virtual marketing communications agency in Wayzata, MN, is the title sponsor of the upcoming 10th Annual Suited by TwinWest™ clothing drive, taking place from October 2-13, 2006. The annual event, run by the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce, provides gently used business appropriate attire to women entering or re-entering the workforce. All clothing collected is donated to local agencies that assist women with the transition into a business setting.
“As a female entrepreneur, I wanted to support an event that really makes a difference to women in business,” said Caroline Melberg, President & CEO of Melberg Marketing. “I’ve seen first-hand how difficult it can be for women starting out in the workforce or starting over in a new career, especially after a difficult personal situation. When you’re just starting out, it’s not easy to have the means to buy professional clothing for job interviews and appropriate day-to-day office attire once you have a job.”
After 20 years in corporate marketing and communications for companies including IBM, AT&T Wireless and Cingular, Caroline Melberg started Melberg Marketing with her husband Steve. Melberg Marketing is a virtual marketing agency that offers clients a unique team of marketing professionals located throughout the U.S. and globally, each with their own specialty from copywriting to printing to web design. Together they work as a team to bring customers the benefits of years of blue chip marketing experience, without the high price and bureaucracy associated with traditional blue chip agencies.
“I remember just starting out and not having the extra money to buy a nice new suit for interviews,” says Melberg. “I want my company to be a part of helping other women who are starting out, whether fresh out of school with student loans or beginning new lives after hard times. I want to use my business achievements to help other women succeed in business by giving them the confidence they need by having the right clothes for the job.”
