August 19, 2008 - Coxsackie, NY - Path11 Productions owned and operated by Michael Habernig and April Hannah of Coxsackie, NY won first place, the people's choice award and honorable mention for two one minute video productions in a highly acclaimed YouTube video contest called A Shift In Action, sponsored by the Institute of Noetic Sciences of Northern California. This contest challenged contestants to produce a one minute video that would help to change the world one minute at a time and help to shift the viewers level of consciousness.
Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), founded in 1973 by astronaut Edgar Mitchell, is a nonprofit organization located in Northern California that conducts and sponsors leading-edge research into the potentials and powers of consciousness, including perceptions, beliefs, attention, intention, and intuition. The Shift in Action Program is a member benefit providing hundreds of hours of audio downloads, video segments, weekly teleseminar calls and international networking.
Each year IONS run a One Minute Shift contest this being the fourth year of the contest and provides $1,000 grand prize to the first place winner, a years subscription to their institute and exposure of the winning video to over 35,000 viewers. Path11 Productions won first place this year with "A Shift In Action" Youtube video. They also received the People's Choice Award and honorable mention for their "Shifting Forward" video submission both segments directed by Michael Habernig and produced by April Hannah. Local holistic practitioners from Saratoga Springs, NY Carol von Kaenel and Brenda Jenks of Glens Falls, NY were filmed this year for Path11's first documentary called "The Path". Their interview segments were highlighted in this video contest. This is the first win for Path11 Productions as it was just formed in February of 2008.
"This win has given us such a boost and increased our confidence considering it is our first submission into a video contest using our footage from our documentary", explains April Hannah, Producer of Path11 Productions.
Director, Michael Habernig had this to say about their win, "Our goal in entering this contest of course was not only to win but to also gain more exposure for the upcoming documentary "The Path" which will hopefully be released in the fall/winter of 2008."
