April 19, 2008 - MCompanion is pleased to announce the availability of its redesigned iGliss Internet media content management service. The Web-based service is free and enables users to create, access, share and sync a personalized media compilation across some of the most popular social media Web sites.
"IGliss is the next evolution in Web content," says Allan Kong, president of mCompanion. "Managing the sheer volume of content that's available today is challenging, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find high-quality media among its many sources", says Kong. "iGliss does all of the content management for its users. With iGliss, they can come to one place and find exactly what they're looking for, organized in a way that makes sense to them, and stay in sync with the latest media content from the Internet that interests them."
Using iGliss, people can share and manage pictures, video, audio and Web content from a central location without ever manually uploading a single file.
IGliss users download a small client application that manages the user's media collection and uploads media files. iGliss can locate, catalog and deliver desired media content directly to users, freeing them from the task of searching multiple Web sites for specific content.
The service has recently been redesigned to provide easier content navigation and access. "We're excited about the new format," say Kong. "The explosion of social sites in the last two or three years shows the growing number of users who have a strong preference for using the Internet for information and entertainment." Unfortunately, says Kong, bookmarks and favorite lists are ineffective at dealing with the mushrooming number of niche providers. "iGliss provides a seamless way to consolidate preferred content into a single, manageable location."
